DEATH OF A SALESMAN

by Arthur Miller

Pulitzer Prize for Drama
Tony Award Best Play
New York Drama Critics’ Circle Best Play

Following the sell-out production of All My Son’s last year, the Gate presents Arthur Miller’s Pulitzer Prize-winning masterpiece, Death of a Salesman. One of the greatest achievements of 20th Century drama, the play burst onto the international scene in 1949, winning not only the Pulitzer Prize, but also the Drama Critics’ Circle and Tony Awards.

Veteran salesman, Willy Loman, has always gotten along ‘riding on a smile and a shoeshine’, but recently seems to have lost his golden touch. Haunted by missed opportunities and a troubled past, his life begins to unravel as he starts to lose faith in the two things he believes in: his family and his dreams. Directed by renowned American director David Esbjornson (Angels of America) and featuring a stellar cast including international stage and screen star Harris Yulin (Scarface, Clear and Present Danger, Training Day) as Willy Loman, this production is not to be missed.
