EUROPALIA.EUROPA Barry McGovern in I'LL GO ON

from Molloy, Malone Dies and The Unnamable by Samuel Beckett

Following the outstanding success of the Samuel Beckett centenary celebrations in 2006, the Gate Theatre recently toured the acclaimed production of I'll Go On, from Beckett’s Molloy, Malone Dies and The Unnamable, to the Théâtre Le Public in Brussels as part of the 2007/2008 Europalia.Europa Festival. This tour de force starring Barry McGovern, Ireland's greatest interpreter of Samuel Beckett, was also seen at the 2007 Sydney International Festival where the Sun Herald wrote 'Barry McGovern's astounding performance was not only the best of the festival, but also among the best I've ever seen…Genius, no other word for it'.

With texts selected by Gerry Dukes and Barry McGovern, direction by Colm Ó Briain and design by Robert Ballagh, the show has toured worldwide, enjoying standing ovations and rave reviews:
