The Constant Wife

Following the highly acclaimed Dublin run, the Gate returned in this it’s sixth visit to Charleston with a crackling and highly polished production of The Constant Wife with Paris Jefferson as Constance, Susan FitzGerald in the role of Mrs. Culver and Stephen Brennan as Bernard. The stellar cast also included Simon Coates, Michael James Ford, Laurence Foster, Caitríona Ní Mhurchú, Judith Roddy, Jade Yourell.

Maugham’s modern and amusing take on marriage and infidelity proved a smash hit with Spoleto audiences and critics alike:
