PROGRAMME DETAILS
by Brian Friel
It is the summer of 1936 and the five Mundy women are on the very edge of catastrophe. The bread-earner, Kate, is about to lose her teaching job. The pittance that Rose and Agnes earn from knitting gloves has dried up. And Fr. Jack, physically broken and mentally confused, had returned home from a lifetime of missionary work.
Dancing at Lughnasa is a play about five courageous, good-hearted women who attempt to fight their fate with extraordinary resilience.
