U.S. BECKETT TOURS 2011
The Gate Theatre is delighted to announce two U.S. tours of Samuel Beckett’s work in October – December 2011 playing in six prestigious venues over seven weeks.
Watt and
Endgame with Des Keogh, Rosaleen Linehan, Barry McGovern and Owen Roe will start in Ann Arbor, Michigan and finish up at Cal Performances in Berkeley. In late November,
Krapp’s Last Tape with John Hurt will begin a three week tour playing at the Shakespeare Theatre Company in Washington D.C. and at BAM in New York. This will be the Gate’s first time to play in four of these venues. In all, the Gate will have toured three times to the United States this year after
Watt played at the Under the Radar Festival in New York in January. These tours would not be possible without the very generous support of Culture Ireland, as part of its Imagine Ireland season of Irish Arts in America in 2011.
