Once Off Productions presents GUEST HOST STRANGER GHOST by Kate Heffernan, Directed by Eoghan Carrick, A Gate Theatre GATECRASH as part of Dublin Theatre Festival 🗓️ 8th October, 4pm A story about living in someone else’s home, performed on the sets of other people’s plays. A mismatched trio rent a house owned by an elderly woman now living her last days in a nursing home. Unlikely housemates, they try to find a connection in the short time they’re here – and a space for themselves amongst the stuff of her entire life.
A world premiere from Stewart Parker Trust Award winning writer Kate Heffernan (In Dog Years I’m Dead, Peat), Guest Host Stranger Ghost is a hilarious and heart-rending cry for a moment of stillness in a life of transience.

PAUL DURCAN: 80 at 80 presented by Poetry Ireland and the Gate Theatre as part of the Gate Theatre’s GATECRASHES series. Supported by Dublin UNESCO City of Literature. 🗓️ 21st October, 7.30pm An event to celebrate Durcan’s 80th birthday, and the publication of 80 at 80, we look back on the extraordinary career of one of Ireland’s most lauded and popular poets, Paul Durcan, through readings of his much-loved poems by poets and admirers. For fifty years, he has explored and questioned a world both real and imagined and remains the most of companionable of poets.
