Discover the Magic of Theatre at the Gate!
The Gate Theatre is thrilled to introduce our GATEWAYS Taster Theatre Workshops, part of our Gateways Community Engagement programme. The workshops are open to adults and young people resident in the Gate’s local community and the wider Dublin city centre area. They are designed to explore the world of theatre through a series of engaging and interactive workshops. These workshops are intended to be a first step to forming permanent theatre groups for both young people and adults. Participants are encouraged to attend all sessions in the workshop schedule.
WHO IS THIS FOR AND WHY SHOULD I JOIN?
For Local Young People (Ages 13-18):
• Include exciting drama games and activities
• Develop teamwork, self-expression, and social skills
• Foster a love for theatre in a supportive environment
• Led by experienced youth theatre facilitators
For Local Adults (Ages 18+)
• Engage in fun, interactive drama exercises
• Explore your creativity and gain confidence
• Meet like-minded individuals in your community
• Led by experienced and passionate theatre practitioners

For Local Young People (Ages 13-18)

Time: 5.00pm – 6.30pm
Location: Gate Theatre, Cavendish Row, Parnell Square, Dublin 1
For Local Adults (Ages 18+)
Dates: Thursday November 23rd, 30th & December 7th
Time: 7pm – 9pm
Location: Gate Theatre, Cavendish Row, Parnell Square, Dublin 1
WHAT’S NEXT?
The GATEWAYS Taster Theatre Workshops are just the beginning. After completing the taster sessions, we will form permanent regular drama groups for both adults and young people, allowing you to continue your dramatic journey with us.
HOW DO I SIGN UP?

A reminder that the workshops are open to adults and young people resident in the Gate’s local community and the wider Dublin city centre area. Please note that places will be strictly limited and that spaces will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis and in conjunction with the criteria. Please note that the Gate Theatre’s decision on participants is final and no correspondence will be entered into. |
