The Great Gatsby

By F. Scott Fitzgerald

Adapted and Directed by Alexander Wright and created by the original company.
From 15th November 2018

Jay Gatsby is throwing another glittering party at the Gate this winter, and you are invited… Following a critically acclaimed, award-winning and sell-out run in 2017, this stunning, immersive experience returns for a limited season.

Building on the Gate tradition of ‘page to stage’, this production gives the legendary 1920’s jazz age story a whole new spin offering a portal into Fitzgerald’s novel.

The theatre will be opened up once more and transformed into the Gatsby Mansion with all its decadent opulence and atmosphere. The seats will be removed from the auditorium and audiences will have access to the stage and backstage areas, the Green Room, hospitality room and the Studio space, allowing them to experience one of Gatsby’s unique and legendary parties, with a bar in full swing.

For those who missed it last time, and for those who can’t wait to do it all again, 1920s style is encouraged, and dancing shoes are mandatory!

Please note: The Great Gatsby is a promenade performance with limited, unreserved seating. Please contact us with any further questions about the nature of this performance.
