Irish Theatre Award Nominations

We were delighted to receive eight nominations in this year’s Irish Times Irish Theatre Awards!

Best Supporting Actor Owen Roe for his role as Claudius in Hamlet
Best Actress Hazel Clifford for her role as Sharon Rabbitte in The Snapper
Best Supporting Actress Aoife Duffin for her role as Ophelia in Hamlet
Best Set Susan Hilferty for Hamlet
Best Set Paul Wills for The Snapper
Best Lighting Paul Keogan for Hamlet
Best Costume Paul Wills for The Snapper

 

Congratulations also to Owen Roe, who is this year’s recipient of the Special Tribute Award. A veteran of the Gate stage, Owen Roe recently played Claudius in Hamlet. Other notable work includes The Great GatsbyFestenCatastrophe, Da, The Faith Healer and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. He won the Irish Times Irish Theatre Award for Best Actor for his performances in Catastrophe and Festen.

The Awards ceremony, in association with TileStyle, will take place on Sunday, March 31st, at the National Concert Hall.
