Covid Health and Safety Protocols

The Gate Theatre is delighted to welcome live audiences, artists, and staff back into the venue for our production of Endgame by Samuel Beckett.

The health and wellbeing of our staff and our visitors is our number one priority and we are making every effort to ensure that appropriate measures are in place. The Gate is committed to maintaining a rigorous health and safety process for those who visit the theatre.

The venue is currently operating at full capacity.

  • In line with current Government guidelines, attendees no longer require proof of vaccination for entry to the theatre
  • Audience members are no longer required to wear face masks at the Gate, but they are welcome to continue to do so if they wish.
  • The auditorium and front of house area are regularly cleaned and sanitised by our team prior to and between each performance.
  • The high ceiling of the auditorium, our reduced capacity, and full fresh air changes between each performance ensure optimum ventilation in our venue.
  • Hand sanitising stations are located throughout the building for the safety of our audiences and staff. We ask that all visitors use them regularly.
  • All guests are requested to pay using contactless methods where possible.
  • Entry to the theatre will be conditional on Government advice at the time of the performance and not at the time of the ticket purchase. Any updates to the details of your performance will be communicated to you via email.

We appreciate the continued support of our audiences at this time. If you have any further questions about our Covid procedures and protocols, please contact boxoffice@gate-theatre.ie.
