Executive Director, The Gate Theatre

The Gate Theatre is delighted to announce the appointment of Bea Kelleher as Executive Director of the Gate Theatre, effective March 5th 2018. Bea brings a wealth of commercial, strategic marketing, business development and arts management experience to the Gate, having held senior leadership roles in international and publicly quoted marketing companies.

Bea will be joining us from Irish International/BBDO where she was an Account Director for leading international brands, following earlier senior marketing and commercial roles at Ogilvy & Mather and leading design company, Dynamo.

Bea also brings sector experience from her time as Executive Producer of the Dublin Fringe Festival and as Festival Manager, Anna Livia International Opera Festival.

Selina Cartmell, Artistic Director, commented ‘Bea will play a critical role in leading our commercial focus and I’m delighted to welcome someone of her calibre as a member of the senior management team in delivering our vision for the Gate over the coming years. We have an ambitious programme to build on the Gate’s ethos as a world class theatre and an expression of our cultural truth and talents in a very different but similarly challenging world as our founders had 90 years ago.’

Marketing and Communications Director, The Gate Theatre 

The Gate Theatre is delighted to announce the appointment of Jenny Flynn as Marketing and Communications Director of the Gate Theatre, effective February 2018.

Jenny brings significant marketing and communications expertise to the Gate, having held senior roles locally and internationally. Most recently at LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) where she was Acting Head of Marketing, prior to that she had a management role with the membership based not for profit European Movement Ireland.

Selina Cartmell, Artistic Director, commented ‘Jenny will play a key role in leading our marketing and communication focus and contributing as a member of the senior management team for the Gate in expressing our vision, engaging loyal and new audiences in Ireland and overseas. I’m delighted to bring Jenny’s level of capability to our team to help create a global footprint and a deeper understanding of the role of theatre in people’s lives.

As a longtime audience member of the Gate, I’m thrilled to play a part in delivering on its vision and development. I love the shared experience of watching a story come alive on stage and I’m looking forward to working with Selina, Bea and the team to continue bringing that experience, and the Gate’s exceptional storytelling, to even wider audiences.
