The Visiting Hour Stream FAQs

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: The Visiting Hour streams tonight!

At 19.30 Dublin time tonight, the curtain will rise on the Gate Theatre’s world premiere production of The Visiting Hour by Frank McGuinness.

The event will be broadcast live. Once the play starts at 19.30 sharp Dublin time, you will not be able to pause or rewind the event. Our virtual theatre lobby will open 15 mins beforehand at 19.15, and we recommend allowing yourself plenty of time to get ready for the start of the show.

The duration of the play is approx. 70 mins, and you can download your free show programme here:

If you arrive prior to 19.15, you will be greeted by a clock that will count down to the beginning of the live broadcast.

At this time, we also recommend you double-check you have your unique five-letter access code for tonight’s event.

When you made your booking originally, you would have received an email from our presenting partner TicketCo AS with a link or code to tonight’s event. Search your email inbox for ‘TicketCo AS’ and find the item with your The Visiting Hour booking.

In that email, you will find a link to tonight’s broadcast, as well as a helpful ‘How Does It Work?’ document to help you get the most out of the event.

Alternatively, if you entered your mobile number while booking, you can also search for your code in your text messages under the name ‘TicketCo’. Instructions on how to redeem this code, based on your preferred viewing option, are below.

Can’t find your email? Check your spam or junk folders. If you still can’t locate it, you can visit the Gate Theatre’s TicketCo website here: https://gatedublinlive.ticketco.events/ie/en and use the ‘Find your purchased tickets’ option on the right-hand side of the screen.

If you’re still having issues, please contact us at boxoffice@gate-theatre.ie. We are anticipating a high volume of queries prior to the event, so please contact us as soon as possible with any issues.
